My husband received Gongjindan as a gift from a client last week. I was told it is the original formula Gongjindan, made directly by a fairly famous Korean medicine clinic. Since it is an expensive product containing musk, I wanted to make sure to take it regularly out of sheer waste, but I have a question. I noticed there is no expiration date written on it. What is the typical shelf life for Gongjindan prescribed by a Korean medicine clinic? The problem is, I stored it incorrectly... I was definitely told to keep it frozen, but I completely forgot and just left it at room temperature on the balcony for almost two weeks in this hot weather. Fortunately, it doesn't smell strange or have mold, and the taste doesn't seem to have changed much. In fact, I feel like my chronic fatigue is a bit less after taking it, so I want to keep taking it, but I'm worried it might have spoiled. There are about 30 pills in the pack, so it would be such a waste if they went bad... ㅠㅠ Since it was a gift, I feel a bit embarrassed to call a traditional Korean medicine clinic to ask, so I'm asking here first. I have a very reserved personality, so making phone inquiries isn't easy for me. Haha. Some people around me say that the original formula Gongjindan, which has a high musk content, is usually stored frozen, while others say that leaving it at room temperature for about a week shouldn't be a big problem, which makes me even more confused. Does anyone happen to know how to store Gongjindan or its expiration date? For reference, the taste is much stronger than the agarwood products sold at pharmacies, and I feel less tired after taking it, so I am personally satisfied.
