I am posting this because I am frustrated and don't know the cause of my chronic diarrhea. I started my own business a few years ago, and the early days were truly insane. All sorts of problems arose, and having to go to court brought my stress to its peak. My stomach started feeling unwell back then, but it wasn't just a matter of a day or two... it would happen if I ate even a little bit... But lately, it's been like that even when I don't eat. It feels like my bowel movements just aren't working properly. I think the cause of my chronic diarrhea probably started around that time. It became a cycle of constantly running to the bathroom whenever I ate even a little bit or felt stressed. Actually, I drank a lot back then, too. Since I had no way to relieve stress, it became a habit, and looking back now, I think I just ruined my intestines even more. But now that period has passed, the busyness is gone, and I've cut down on drinking a lot. Sigh... but strangely, the chronic diarrhea remains the same. It feels like only my body has stopped moving in that state. I went to the hospital and got some medicine, but it only gets a little better while I take it; as soon as I stop, it goes back to how it was. It seems that anti-diarrheal medication isn't that strong just because it's internal medicine. I hate losing weight because it makes me look frail, but I keep losing it... Honestly, I don't know if the place I go to isn't a good fit for me, or if there is another problem. I don't want to just suppress the symptoms; I want to properly find the cause of my chronic diarrhea, but I feel at a loss as to where and how to start over. For those of you who have experienced chronic diarrhea that doesn't go away even with medication, how did you handle it? If you know of a place that properly identifies the cause of chronic diarrhea, please recommend it.
